SUMMARY:Multisystem Healthy Action Committee (MSHAC)
DESCRIPTION:The DELAWARE MULTISYSTEM HEALTHY ACTION COMMITTEE (MSHAC) was formed through the partnership of Division of Public Health (DPH) Home Visiting supervisors and Division of Family Services (DFS) administrators\, supervisors\, and caseworkers\, along with representatives from birthing hospitals\, treatment providers\, and various community partners and organizations dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by a substance use disorder. The committee held its inaugural meeting in September 2016 and continues to hold regular meetings across all three counties to promote ongoing collaboration. \nLearn More \nWhy CHWs Should Join MSHAC: \nAs Community Health Workers\, you understand the challenges families face when navigating complex systems. MSHAC brings together professionals who share this commitment\, including DPH Home Visiting supervisors\, Division of Family Services staff\, birthing hospital representatives\, treatment providers\, and community partners\, all working to better serve individuals and families with substance use disorders. \nWhat MSHAC Offers CHWs: \n\nResource sharing and educational materials to support your clients more effectively\nUpdates from local treatment providers and service coordination strategies\nGuidance on navigating the DFS reporting system and Plan of Safe Care (POSC) processes\nInformation on relevant state legislation affecting the families you serve\nCross-agency collaboration that reduces duplication and strengthens referral pathways\n\nSince 2016\, MSHAC has improved communication and resource sharing across Delaware’s three counties.
