CHWs Unite at Impactful 2023 Delaware Summit
The 2023 Community Health Worker Summit brought together health advocates from across Delaware on October 25 at Bally’s Dover. With a powerful theme of “Encouraging unity, integrity and collaboration among CHWs and advocating for certification,” the event marked an important milestone for the profession in the state.
Open to all CHWs, case managers, allies and advocates throughout Delaware, this free gathering created a valuable forum to strengthen professional connections and advance the field. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions about establishing recognized certification—a critical step toward greater professional recognition and standardized practice.
The summit fostered a collaborative spirit as attendees shared experiences, best practices, and innovative approaches to addressing community health challenges. By uniting around common goals and professional standards, Delaware’s CHWs reinforced their essential role in improving health outcomes and building more resilient communities across the state.
