The Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence (DCADV) is pleased to partner in the work of the Community Health Worker Association of Delaware. DCADV recognizes the importance of community-based, trauma-informed approaches, exemplified by CHWs. The CHW service model ensures that vulnerable and underserved individuals receive services that are accessible, equitable, and culturally specific. CHWs are able to reach individuals with pressing health and safety needs, like survivors of domestic violence, meeting them where they feel safe and comfortable. The Community Health Worker Association of Delaware is working toward the sustainability of CHWs in Delaware and we are proud to partner with them in this work.
