Through monthly training sessions, in partnership with various community organizations, we offer professional development designed to meet the unique needs of CHWs in all roles. As a member, you can participate in training or share your expertise with others in the CHW community.
CHWs need a broad range of skills, including:
- Communication and Cultural Competence
- Interpersonal Skills and Motivational Interviewing
- Documentation, Literacy and Time Management
- Problem-Solving, Reasoning and Facilitation
- Community Knowledge and More
Our professional development opportunities help ensure that CHWs are well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of the communities they serve.
