Delaware CHWs Gather for Inspiring 2024 Summit
Over 200 Community Health Workers from across Delaware converged at Bally’s Dover Casino Resort on October 16 for their annual summit—a powerful day centered around collaboration, education, and empowerment.
The event showcased both local and national speakers who addressed crucial topics on social determinants of health and strategies for overcoming community barriers. As frontline liaisons who connect individuals and families with essential health and social services, these dedicated professionals celebrated their collective impact on Delaware’s communities.
The summit provided a valuable opportunity for CHWs to exchange knowledge, strengthen their professional network, and recognize outstanding contributions to public health across the state. Through meaningful discussions and shared experiences, participants reinforced their commitment to fostering wellbeing among Delaware’s most vulnerable populations.
This gathering highlighted the increasingly vital role Community Health Workers play in building healthier, more resilient communities throughout the state, while equipping them with new tools and perspectives to continue their essential work.
